One Weekend, One Mission

We are excited to announce that we will be working together with Wounded Warriors Canada to organize the first annual Highway of Heroes Bike Ride in British Columbia (HHR18 BC).  The event will take place on August 25-26, 2018, beginning at the Derek Doubleday Arboretum in Langley, through the Lower Mainland and finishes at the Afghanistan Memorial in Victoria, on Vancouver Island. Riders can choose from two distances, 160km or 240km to complete over the course of two days. Individual participants are required to fund-raise a minimum of $1250.00. Our goal is to honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice while raising important awareness and funds in support of our ill and injured Veterans, First Responders and their families living with Operational Stress Injuries such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. The riders will carry forward the charity’s mission to Honour the Fallen and Help the Living.

The Highway of Heroes Bike Ride BC will be taking place at the same time as the third annual Highway of Heroes Bike Ride in Ontario. The event has been growing in popularity each year and has proved a huge success with everybody involved. On behalf of everyone at Into The Wild, we are honored to be a part of such a great event to help raise awareness for the veterans and first responders who have sacrificed so much for our country and community.
